Things have been more low-key for the past month as we have finally settled down a bit after such a busy summer. In the past few weeks, Annie’s mom came for a visit to San Francisco, Chris bought a new .30-06 rifle, we went to see Pepper at the Fox Theater in Oakland and Annie was in Atlanta for work but managed to see some friends and family while there, too.
However, yesterday was an adventure. We bought tickets with some friends to the Bridge School Benefit Concert at the Shoreline Amphitheatre. A bus for 20 filled with 25 people, beer, wine, champagne and a handle of Jameson was a catalyst for a very interesting and outrageous night.
Organized by Neil Young and his wife, the Bridge School Benefit Concert is an all acoustic, non-profit charity benfiting children with severe speech and physical impairments. The line-up was amazing: Neil Young, Dave Matthews, Mumford & Sons, Eddie Vedder, Beck, Arcade Fire, Carlos Santana, and the list goes on.
Unfortunately, those are the only pictures we snapped from the event, but it was a gorgeous evening with all the proceeds benefiting such a worthy cause!
